Grading Scheme
Below are the details regarding how your grade will be calculated in this course.
Grading Rules
- Online Homework: are automatically graded out of 10 points. The grade for the questions, which are correctly solved in the first attempt is going to be valued 100%, those solved in the second attempt worth 75%, those solved in the third attempt worth 50%, and those solved in final fourth attempt worth 25%
- Online Quizzes: are automatically graded out of 5 points. The grade for the questions, which are correctly solved in the first attempt is going to be valued 100%, those solved in the second attempt worth 75%, those solved in the third attempt worth 50%, and those solved in final fourth attempt worth 25%
- Exams: There are two exams each one has 15 multiple choice questions, and a final which has 30 multiple choice questions. There is no partial credit for exams.

Letter Grade Rules
Your final course grade will be based on a ranking system, depending on your performance in various activities throughout the semester.
- The top 20% (or 90% overall) will receive an A.
- The next 10% (or 84% overall) will receive a B+.
- The next 20% (or 77% overall) will receive a B.
- The next 10% (or 73% overall) will receive a C+.
- Students averaging 62% will receive a C (approx. 25%).
- Students averaging 54% will receive a D (approx. 5%).
- Students averaging less than 54% will receive an F (approx. 10%).
